Chung’s Gourmet Foods was founded in 1986 by Dr. Jing-Yau “Gene” Chung, an inventor/entrepreneur with a background in engineering and a passion for Asian food. His vision for the company was to create gourmet quality egg rolls that people could enjoy at home.

Today, Chung’s has grown to be a leading manufacturer of egg rolls and Asian entrees in the U.S. Using only the finest and freshest ingredients, Chung’s is dedicated to bringing the authentic Asian taste to every home in America. Our primary goal is to allow consumers to appreciate Asian cuisine in the convenience of their home without compromising quality.

Chung’s Gourmet Foods is a division of Yellowstone Brands Ltd. Through its subsidiaries, Yellowstone Brands will manufacture, outsource and market specialty branded products channeled to growing niche markets.

Our Team

Vreij Arthur Kolandjian - CEO : Vreij joined Yellowstone after 29 years of experience in various food and consumer products companies, with Mars Inc., Uncle Ben’s, Bongrain and Proctor & Gamble. Vreij was the CEO of the North American operations of Bongrain N.A. He was the President of Uncle Ben’s Foods. Vreij held a variety of management, marketing, sales and strategy positions with the Mars organization in Europe and the U.S., with responsibilities for well known food brands, such as M&Ms, Snickers, and Milky Way, as well as pet food brands such as Whiskas, Sheba and Pedigree. Vreij was a brand manager and sales division manager for various Procter & Gamble products in Europe. Vreij holds an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley. He is the recipient of a Certificate of Merit as outstanding student in Marketing by the American Marketing Association in 1976. Vreij is an active member of the American Marketing Association, as well as the Greater Houston Partnership.

Charlie Kujawa - President : Charlie is a food industry professional and manager. Charlie joined Chung's with over 22 years experience in companies such as Don Miguel Mexican Foods, The Dannon Company, and Baskin-Robbins USA. Charlie has extensive experience running both frozen and refrigerated food plants.

Joe Mason - Vice President Sales : Joe joins Chung’s Gourmet Foods after 33 years of sales and management success in various food and consumer companies including S. C. Johnson & Sons, Scott Paper, Texaco with the final 25 years as a valued associate with Mars, Inc. Joe held many sales and management positions at Mars including National Sales Manager for the Food Service Division responsible for a sales force at the Key Account Level. Joe also led the company's Wal-Mart/Sam's team in Bentonville for 9 years and was instrumental in taking Mars, Inc. business to unprecedented records. Winner of numerous National Awards at Mars, including Regional Manager of The Year, Responsibility Award, and the prestigious Mars Inc. "Tie Club”, his contributions were recognized and rewarded. Joe has a B.S. in Management from Virginia Tech.

Kevin Vigneaux - Vice President Finance: Kevin has over 25 year experience in finance and accounting in the manufacturing and distribution arena. Most recently he was the Director of Finance for Royal Window Coverings, a manufacturer and distributor of window coverings in the Retail and Fabricator channels. He has experience with food processing with McCormick & Company and Sierra Springs Water Company. In his early career, he was with Arthur Andersen before moving into the private sector. Kevin holds an M.B.A. from Loyola College Maryland, a B.S.B.A. from Northeastern University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
